Our lab explores the fundamental question of how cells maintain their identity. As our approach is not confined to one particular cell type or tissue, we are poised to uncover shared regulatory principles critical for the maintenance of cell identity in different contexts during development and tissue homeostasis and how this knowledge may be exploited in a regenerative setting to alter cell fate.
